This is our second interview with the new ambassadors of Pesavento,
presented on the occasion of the Pesavento Next Ambassador event.
These five women were chosen to represent and promote the values of Pesavento.
They each have their own personalities and interests which become apparent in their social media profiles.

This time we spoke to Giulia, a model, actress and DJ.

Read on to find out what she had to say.

Interview with Giulia Alberti

The best way to find out about our ambassadors is on Instagram.

We first asked Giulia to give us three reasons to follow her profile.

She replied “I work as a DJ, model and actress, and so I can tell you a little about all three worlds!”

We took her advice and delved deeper to find out more.

When browsing your photos, we couldn’t help noticing that you love to travel. Just a few months ago you went to Zanzibar and, shortly afterwards, to Lapland. Which do you prefer, warm or cool climates? Tell us about the trip you enjoyed most.

I do generally prefer warm climates, I find that the sun does wonders for both body and soul. Then again, I did find Lapland quite extraordinary! It is a magical place where nature reigns supreme, and I found it fascinating.
I have lasting memories of all my journeys, but one of the best I ever went on was in America two years ago. I will never forget travelling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas: with great expanses of sand and rock stretching as far as the eye can see, the sound of Mark Knopfler in my ears, and my best friend by my side. It was absolute bliss!

You describe yourself as a “Model, Actress, DJ”, but you also have a “Degree in Psychology”. What did you learn from your degree? If you were to go back in time, would you still study the same thing?

Most definitely I would, the subject opened my eyes to a mighty universe. It marked the start of a journey that enabled me to appreciate both myself and the human, natural and environmental world in which I live.

Of the 5 Pesavento ambassadors, you were chosen for your love of music.
Where did that come from? Tell us a bit about your life as a DJ.

I have been interested in musical instruments ever since I was a child. I played the electric guitar with a small band for many years, and I took a few lessons in the bass and drums. A few years ago, I was curious to try out my first DJ controller. I learnt to mix rock songs. I now perform in front of thousands of people in Italy and abroad with Vida Loca, the travelling event of Hip Hop and Reggaeton. I hadn’t followed these two genres before but they can make for a truly incredible party atmosphere!

While we’re on the subject of music, do you have a favourite genre or song? Tell us about a memory you associate with it.

My favourite genre is early 90s rock, though I also love 70s rock. I have a small “rock” tattooed on my ankle. It is the soundtrack of my life! If I had to associate it with a person, I would say my dad. He passed his love for the genre on to me, and it is still one of our favourite topics of conversation.

Music and jewellery are seemingly two very different worlds, what do they have in common?

A genre of music can often influence your look. I think, for example, about the rappers with their chunky gold chains, but also opera singers and their refined jewellery.

In the same way, for all of us, a jewel is a way to express ourselves and make us feel at ease in a certain context. Similarly, a song can capture a mood and make you feel good…

If I were to associate a song with Pesavento jewellery, it would be the sensual “Corazon” by Maluma.

And now for that most obvious of questions: what is your favourite item of Pesavento jewellery? The one you feel you must have.

I love the Basic Gold collection because it also goes perfectly with my sportswear! I like to dress casually and the basic jewellery lends a touch of elegance and refinement, without overstating it.

What does it mean for you to be a Pesavento ambassador?

I like how Pesavento takes an interest in female talent! I feel appreciated for what I do, and I am happy to share my interests with the company and the other wonderful women. To be an ambassador is, for me, to always give my best. I am proud to be part of the Pesavento team!

Before saying goodbye, we’d like to ask you one last question.

This is an extremely delicate and difficult time for us all, especially from the perspective of our mental wellbeing. Do you have a message – or a song – you would like to share with the other women of Pesavento?

Music is therapeutic and can really help us during times of crisis.
There are many songs that convey a message of hope and positivity. I like Patti Smith for her strong will – she made her name starting out with nothing – and for her timeless classic “People have the power”.
It is a song that speaks about us all: me, you and everyone, and about our times.
