From the dreams, the love for Italy,
the will to constantly doing better and the crucial team work!
For this new beginning we wanted to interview the people behind the Pesaveneto dream: Chiara Carli, CEO, Creative Director and Communication Manager, and Marino Pesavento, CEO and Production Director.
A new beginning.
Few words, a breath of fresh air after 50 days of lockdown. An unprecedented situation that made us reconsider our priorities and goals, and attributed value to our everyday life.
A necessary halt to guarantee a departure from the state of emergency. Pesavento couldn’t wait to get back to action, to approach new challenges with the freshly discovered awareness, responsibility and the greatest strive for redemption; to help our beautiful country and its economy.
Coming back and reopening the doors of our Company has been an exceptional moment, all of us felt the overwhelming joy of finally getting back together, knowing that it won’t be easy to start from scratch, but together we can tackle this testing moment at our best. These are Chiara Carli’s words, fuelled by her typical strength and enthusiasm.
To start all over again meant being operational and embrace specific measures following the Government guidelines. In order to do so we arranged our safety measures ahead of time: from the thermo scanner to the plexiglass dividers and the devices (like gloves and face masks) within the full Covid19 protocol. The health and safety of our team comes before anything else.
Our employees are experiencing the return to normality with a huge sense of commitment, complying with the safety measures without loosing our quintessential team spirit, part of our brand since the very beginning. We are a strong team, eager to get back to that precious moments of ordinariness, says Chiara.
Pesavento is an important reality, a brand that focuses on the Made in Italy excellence, loved in its country and abroad. The core of it though is a clear vision and tangible goals…
Chiara says with firmness: our ambition is to return to normality as soon as possible and to do it together with all the people who support the Pesavento dream, from our team of jewelers to our customers, which are part of our extended family.
Restarting is necessary, as Marino Pesavento says, it represents the crucial part for the wellbeing and survival of our economy. We need a strong will and determination from everyone involved, but I believe that every single one of us in its field has to strategically plan for this medium-term and leave behind the old methods.
When we talk about Covid19 and its consequences on the global economy, we can’t avoid thinking about the worst afflicted sectors. It’s under the sun that the hospitality and tourism industry are the ones majorly affected and, without a competent administration, they could remain under the worst circumstances.
This experience confirmed the importance of the IT sector and of the digitalization, which are clearly, in the near future, the essential keys to produce changes in the habits and the organization of the economic operators and consumers.
Marino also argues that is essential to revive consumerism by inspiring positiveness and reassurance. The Government should intervene in two ways: by helping businesses, freelancers, and craftsmen and by reassuring its citizens, not only with adequate economic, social, and healthcare-related supporting tools but especially giving a clear demonstration of forward-thinking, efficiency, reliability and accountability.
During this really tough moment, the brands with a strong value on the market should focus on sustainability, not only an environmental one but also an economic and social one.
As Marino remarks, Pesavento has always been at the forefront when it comes to the social responsibility of businesses. They invested in operations and research and development projects trying to express as much as possible the changes of an ever-growing society, and this is what they commit doing for the near future of the company.
