Aldy, Madalina Doroftei and Mili Markovic: the three women representing Pesavento Art Expressions on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival 2020.

It’s just one day before the end of the 77th Venice Film Festival – a very special edition, and according to our Ambassador Advisor Aldy, who wouldn’t have missed it for the world, the need to wear face masks and observe social distancing has in no way detracted from the glamour and magic.

She’s here with Madalina Doroftei, known for her subtle charm as well as her kind personality (…and for her boyfriend, Alessandro Egger, who is also a model and actor). The third member of the party is Mili Markovic: a model whose beauty radiates a free spirit (she likes to describe herself as a ‘daughter of the sun and moon’). Together, we’ve embarked on a journey through the city on the water, complete with red carpets, spectacular outfits and amazing films.

The premières

Aldy, Madalina and Mili attended many events and premières wearing their MyPesavento jewellery, which, together with their fabulous dresses, showed off their different but equally dazzling beauty.

“Excitement, unmistakable French style, beauty and love”: this was Aldy’s reply when we asked her to choose four words to describe ‘Amants’, a classic thriller with all the elements of film noir, directed by Nicole Garcia.

“Every red carpet event is exciting, and the one before ‘Padrenostro’ was really special. It’s an exceptional film.” Directed by Claudio Noce, it was one of four Italian films competing at the Festival. The main actor, Pierfrancesco Favino, has described it as: “a visionary film which is actually a fictional story. I’m like that in real life, I’m led first by my gut feelings and then by the head, but I always go with my gut.” Favino talked about his gut; we call it “heart” but ultimately it’s the same thing. It’s what Aldy put into her work when she joined the Pesavento team, and it’s what we all put into our work every day, to carry through a project which is ultimately a dream.

Different jewellery for every film

Like all the guests at the Venice Festival, Aldy, Madalina and Mili wore amazing outfits, beautifully complemented by Pesavento jewellery. On the red carpet, during premières and at special events, they showed off the best of our Polvere di Sogni and DNA Fly collections, in an original and stylish way.

The dream of the Venice Film Festival

There is a word that is often repeated by those who attend this event, whether for the first or the hundredth time:
“Living a dream. Venice, you have my heart” – this was one of Mili’s first reactions.
“Dreaming forever” – this is how our Aldy, who is now a regular, described the Festival.
Dream, dreaming… On the other hand, isn’t cinema known as the “factory of dreams”?

From the factory of dreams to the lands of dreams

It was surrounded by uncertainty, but for us it has really been a time to be moved and inspired, to fill our eyes with beauty and magic while awaiting a great moment for Pesavento Art Expressions.”
