Summer brings with it all the joy and excitement of a new journey…

Talking about travel and adventure is our Pesavento Ambassador of the month: Lorena Antonioni.

She is a professional reporter who has made her passion her career: Lorena is one of the veterans of the women’s television programme Donnaventura, broadcast on Rete 4!

Between takes for the new series airing 21 June, Lorena told us about herself…

Have you always loved to travel?

“I have always had a great sense of curiosity that has driven me to go further and discover new things. When on holiday with my parents as a little girl, I liked to take the initiative and be the one in the lead”

Adventurous but always with a pen in hand…

“Wherever I go, I take a pen and diary in which I write everything down. This is also useful for offering travel tips to friends: from typical or more unusual restaurants to museums”

And Donnavventura?

“Like all the best things in my life, this happened quite by chance. My mother encouraged me to go for the auditions and I did everything, like going on test drives and talking in front of the camera, without being too earnest and without preconceptions. There were over 200,000 candidates and I eventually joined the team that would go on the Grand Raid Dell’Oceano Atlantico.”

How did that experience change you, and what did it leave you with?

“A journey always changes you, and all the more so if it is a real adventure. Everything is shared: the joy, the sacrifices, the difficulties and the beauty. I was fortunate. I continue to be part of this family, and it is a great honour.”

Do you have any other travels coming up?

“The shooting of the new series of Donnaventura Italia. The production team’s desire is to promote and tell of the attractions and typical aspects of our country, during this complex time in history. We started with Tuscany and will continue until October. I am now more proud than ever to be Italian.”

You’re adventurous but still a woman… what is your relationship with jewellery?

“I have three rings that I never take off, they are my talismans and obviously each one relates to a story and a journey. However I do love to experiment and play with looks, and I am unafraid to try new styles.”

Which Pesavento jewel would you associate with an adventure?

“The Polvere di Sogni collection. Because it represents the perfect combination of elements, and is based on study, technology and dreams…”
